Meet Prema E-RYT500

Andrea Marenco-Snyder (Prema) is a devoted practitioner of yoga and meditation, weaving together the depth of philosophy with the intimacy of embodied practice. A native Costa Rican now living in Kansas City, Missouri, she has spent nearly a decade guiding students—whether stepping onto the practice for the first time or deepening their path as teachers—toward Self-discovery, healing, and transformative integration.

As the founder of the Therapeutic Yoga Institute (TYI), Prema trains and mentors yoga teachers, offering foundational and advanced certification programs that bridge the wisdom of tradition with the insight of lived experience. Yet her teaching is never just about technique—it is about presence, about remembering what it means to truly inhabit our bodies, to meet ourselves with compassion, and to move in harmony with the breath. Whether leading a retreat, having a conversation or guiding a mindful yoga practice, she invites you into a deeper relationship with yourself.

Her path has been shaped by years of immersive study and service, including five years of discipleship at Sat Yoga Ashram, two years as a faculty member at Nexus Yoga Institute, and ongoing work as a lead instructor at CorePower Yoga. She teaches weekly at Lotus Care KC, where she offers therapeutic yoga as a path of restoration and inner listening.

Beyond the mat, Prema is the founder of Omprov Lab - a creative space where movement, theater, sound, and improvisation meet the wisdom of mystical traditions. At its core, Omprov is a practice of presence—an exploration of what it means to be fully alive in the moment. Rooted in embodied philosophy and the expressive arts, The Omprov Method offers a playful yet profound way to deepen self-awareness, release inhibitions, and connect authentically with ourselves and others.

At the heart of her teaching is an invitation into presence—not as a concept, but as a felt experience. To move, to breathe, and to rest in awareness is to remember our capacity to choose, to soften, to meet each moment from a place of belonging. Through this process, we cultivate our agency—our ability to sense, feel, and respond to life from openhearted clarity rather than being caught in patterns of reactivity. Whether you seek a mindful flow, a sanctuary of stillness, or the path of the teacher, she offers a space where practice is about coming home—moment by moment, one breath at a time.
